Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Licensed Insurance Agent to join our team. This role involves administrative and client-facing responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our agency. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of insurance processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities: Carrier Communications: Contact insurance carriers to check policy status, confirm coverage details, and address any policy-related questions.
Policy Review & Clarifications: Provide clients with clear, accurate information about their policy coverages and assist with inquiries.
Application Processing: Review and verify application documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with industry and agency standards.
Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative service work, including updating client records, managing documentation, and processing policy changes or endorsements.
Client Support: Act as a liaison between clients and carriers to resolve issues or provide updates on policy changes.
Compliance Maintenance: Stay informed about industry regulations and licensing requirements to ensure agency compliance.
Qualifications: Valid P/C insurance license Proven experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a similar administrative role. Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverages, and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in client management systems Able to navigate different carrier websites Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with commercial insurance policies and financial products like life insurance.
Forward thinking and self managed: Resourceful and able to find solutions to issues through creativity and little direction of management.
This part-time position requires availability from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST.
It is a 3-month contract with the potential to transition into a long-term role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
