About the position

The Growth Strategy Lead at Humana plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization by leveraging data to identify and address business challenges and opportunities. This position is integral to providing business intelligence and strategic planning support across various business segments, ensuring that the company remains competitive and responsive to market dynamics. The Growth Strategy Lead will engage with complex problems that vary in scope and impact, requiring a nuanced understanding of the healthcare landscape and the ability to navigate through diverse challenges. In this role, the Growth Strategy Lead will be responsible for owning the reporting and portfolio management for the business. This includes maintaining source-of-truth datasets that inform decision-making processes. The individual will lead cross-functional workstreams focused on portfolio optimization, standardizing offerings based on industry best practices. A key aspect of the role involves designing and implementing measurement plans to track the performance of initiatives across the portfolio, identifying areas of concern, and developing strategic solutions to address these issues. Additionally, the Growth Strategy Lead will support the annual budget process, tracking actual performance against budgeted figures, and will be responsible for understanding portfolio-level areas of concern. The role also entails providing support to Growth teams by offering analytics, resources, and education to ensure they have the necessary information to succeed in their roles. Furthermore, collaboration with the Analytics team is essential to design and create next-generation tools that enhance tracking and reporting capabilities, ultimately driving better business outcomes.

Responsibilities
? Own reporting and portfolio management for the business, including maintaining source-of-truth datasets.

? Lead cross-functional workstreams around portfolio optimization, standardizing offerings based on best practices.

? Design and implement measurement plans to track the performance of initiatives across the portfolio.

? Identify areas of concern and create/implement strategic solutions.

? Support the annual budget process and track actual performance to budget, identifying portfolio-level areas of concern.

? Provide analytics, resources, and education to Growth teams to ensure they have the information needed to succeed.

? Collaborate with the Analytics team to design and create tools to improve tracking and reporting capabilities.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years in strategy & operations.
,
? A minimum of five years of experience working within a health plan or care delivery organization.
,
? A minimum of three years of experience with business/growth strategy execution from conception to implementation, including business case development.
,
? Ability to support strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity.
,
? Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for team correspondence, status reports, and presentations.
,
? Strong collaboration and facilitation skills to lead project teams and meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
,
? Experience conducting industry, market, competitor, and financial analysis and identifying insights.
,
? Strong analytical and reasoning skills to lead project teams to solutions and alternatives.
