Job Summary of CDL A Transporter:

You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely pickup, labeling, loading, and delivery of shipments. You will drive a tractor-trailer unit to and from customer locations and utilize Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to efficiently load and unload freight. This position involves a combination of driving and physical tasks, requiring a CDL license and HazMat endorsement, along with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service. The role is fast-paced and may require working various shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Transporter:
? Utilize the appropriate equipment to collect, mark, and transport packages according to UPS policies and procedures.
? Drive a commercial truck to distribute products to different destinations and return to the initial point in one driving session.
? Deploy Material Handling Equipment (MHE), like pallet handlers and stand-up forklifts, for the purpose of handling the loading and unloading of palletized goods.
? Perform activities related to handling, obtaining, digitizing, arranging, and restocking packages.
? Provide safe and timely deliveries to both residential and commercial establishments.
? Transportation safety protocols should be followed to ensure the secure handling of packages.
? Uphold the UPS appearance standards by wearing the uniform that is supplied for the job.
? Meet the job?s physical demands, including lifting up to 70 pounds when needed.
? Enhance customer service quality by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
? Accommodate operational needs by being willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Transporter:
? You are required to have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver?s License) that is applicable in your home state.
? HazMat endorsement required.
? Must pass a UPS road test, DOT physical (including a drug screen), and all necessary background checks.
? Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
? Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) tools like pallet jacks and forklifts, gaining practical insights into their operation.
? Dedicated to upholding safety standards and following delivery protocols.
? Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays according to business demands.
? It is imperative for employees to adhere to UPS?s standards for appearance and uniforms.
? Impressive customer service abilities with a focus on ensuring packages reach customers promptly.
? Individuals applying must meet the requirement of either being a U.S. Citizen, National, or having the necessary work authorization in the United States.
