Mortgage Loan Processor

Summary: Processes 1st Mortgage Real Estate Loan mortgage files in accordance with bank and secondary market guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responibilties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
? Process 1st mortgage applications in a timely manner.
? Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and GRH loan programs.
? Obtain review and calculate borrower income, assets and homeowners insurance for underwriting approval.
? Order and review title commitment appraisals, credit reports, flood certificates; obtain payoffs and releases, and other required documents to complete the loan file.
? Submit files to underwriting.
? Based upon underwriting decision, finish processing for loan closing or mail adverse action notice to borrowers.
? Coordinate closings with loan officer.
? Maintain weekly and monthly reports as required by management.
? Review loan files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance standards.
? Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, and GRH loan programs.

Knowledge of Ellie Mae Encompass is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Organized, accurate attention to detail, with good time management skills

Education and/or Experience

Minimum two (2) years? experience in mortgage lending

Associates degree in a related field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Salary: Anticipated starting salary is $50,000.00 yearly
