The Sr Commercial Banking Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of loan documents and due diligence reports associated with credit facilities. This position involves daily interactions with loan and deposit customers to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service, while also supporting the loan department with various administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
? Assisting in the creation and maintenance of credit and legal files for the loan department
,
? Completing Loan Input Worksheets and inputting CIF information for new borrowers and guarantors
,
? Reviewing departmental reports to ensure accurate information is added to systems and files
,
? Preparing loan draws, wire transfers, and deposit account transfers
,
? Following up on exception items and obtaining borrower financial statements
,
? Working with relationship managers to open appropriate DDA accounts for customers
,
? Answering customer phone calls and servicing customer deposit accounts
,
? Cross-selling additional products to customers as opportunities arise
,
? Transferring funds to and from customer accounts and handling line of credit disbursements
,
? Providing customer service functions for commercial loan accounts
,
? Opening CDs and tracking CD maturity dates for follow-up
,
? Balancing Cash Items Report, Overdraft Report, and sending in Activity Reports
,
? Performing various administrative responsibilities for the Loan Group Manager, Branch President, and Relationship Managers
Requirements
? High school diploma or GED required, some college preferred
,
? 1-2 years of commercial or retail deposit product knowledge, along with loan experience and/or training
,
? Minimum of 1-2 years of administrative assistant experience
,
? PC proficiency in a Windows environment is required; working knowledge of Word and Excel preferred
,
? Minimum 6 months previous customer service experience
,
? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
,
? Friendly and strong orientation towards customer service
