Utilization Management Nurse (PRN)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your clinical skills to help ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. As a Utilization Management Nurse, you will work to ensure that our patients are receiving the appropriate services and care according to established clinical guidelines, regulations, and accreditation standards.We are looking for someone who is an experienced Registered Nurse with a deep understanding of medical insurance and utilization review processes. Applicants for this role must have a minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing and at least two years of experience in utilization review or a related field. Responsibilites:
Utilize clinical skills to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Monitor and review services and care to ensure that they meet established clinical guidelines, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Review medical insurance and utilization review processes.
Provide quality care to patients.
Maintain a valid South Carolina Nursing license and current CPR certification.
Participate in continuing education and training as needed.
Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
