About the position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Loan Originator Assistant - Unlicensed for their Financial Services Branch in Kirkland, WA. This position is designed to support the Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) by handling various administrative tasks, allowing the MLO to focus on increasing production volume and enhancing customer service. The Loan Originator Assistant will play a crucial role in the loan process by communicating with all parties involved in the transaction, tracking outstanding applications and loan documents, and following up with customers to ensure timely completion of necessary paperwork. The responsibilities of the Loan Originator Assistant include scheduling appointments for the MLO, assisting in converting prequalifications to applications in the Loan Origination System (LOS), and preparing loan application documentation for submission to processing. It is important to note that the Unlicensed Loan Originator Assistant is strictly prohibited from originating loan applications or negotiating loan terms with customers. Instead, they will monitor pipeline reports daily, communicate with processors to ensure loans are progressing through the approval process, and occasionally provide initial setup of files, such as ordering appraisals and verifications. Responsibilities
? Communicate with parties to the transaction to update them on loan status.

? Track outstanding applications and loan documents and call customers to follow up on those documents.

? Schedule appointments for the MLO.

? Assist the MLO in converting prequalification to applications in the LOS.

? Handle the administrative side of setting up the electronic loan package.

? Assist MLO in preparing loan application documentation to submit to processing.

? Return phone calls when appropriate, providing basic status updates or requests for information.

? Monitor pipeline reports daily for status of applications and communicate with processors weekly/daily to ensure all loans are moving through the approval process.

? Occasionally provide initial setup of the file, such as ordering appraisal, title, verifications, etc.

Requirements
? High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

? Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
