AVP, Small Business Banker
Posted 2025-03-15Identify, develop and maintain a portfolio of small to medium sized business relationships within the CT and RI markets. Utilize objective and sound personal financial planning and financial advisory concepts to provide an integrated delivery of a broad range of small business products and services including core banking solutions and cash management services to all appropriate customers.
Key Accountabilities:
? Serve as the primary point of contact, integration and responsibility for both new and existing small business banking customers. Sell, deliver and provide ongoing service for a broad range of retail banking products and services appropriate to small business customers. Responsible for delivering a level of personalized, attentive service that customers deem outstanding.
? Establish and periodically update understanding of customer financial needs and conditions based upon sound profiling and analysis.
? Keep abreast of changing economic, legal, and general market and business issues impacting small businesses. Serve as an experienced, personal financial resource for customers.
? Meet revenue growth, profitability and retention goals by developing new customer relationships, expanding services, and marketing new products to existing customers. Monitor, maintain and update sales activity, pipeline and other pertinent information.
? Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various Bank departments and employees who are designated to support small business growth and development efforts. Ensure an integrated and seamless approach to developing, servicing and enhancing the small business customer portfolio.
? Establish and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with external centers of influence who will enhance business development efforts.
? Work within existing audit, compliance and regulatory framework in order to ensure a high quality, compliant portfolio of customer relationships.
? Participate in the ongoing implementation and development of cash management services, including processes, products, services and operating policies and procedures.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) required; 5 - 10 years of banking experience and proven leadership capabilities in a small business banking environment.
? Ability to travel regulary between Rhode Island and Eastern Connecticut markets.
? Demonstrated relationship management experience.
? Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
? Ability to plan, pipeline and prospect potential customers; setting objectives, developing strategies, budgeting, and developing policies and procedures).
? Collaborate; develop effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
