Eligible Summary Base-2 Solutions is looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student aspiring to enter the hi-tech and/or government contracting industry to join us as a Accounting Intern for Spring 2025. Our Accounting Internship will focus on supporting the accounting process. Essential Functions,
Duties and Responsibilities
? Assisting with billings. Includes timely and accurate billings, timely problem resolution, and maintaining appropriate invoicing controls.
? Ensure consistent, timely cash flow.
? Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot related accounting issues and transactions.
? Providing assistance with contract analysis and reconciliation.
? Support continuous process improvement.
? Maintain required financial controls and support audits as necessary.
? Demonstrated experience performing accounting journal transaction posting and related impacts.
? Demonstrated experience performing analytical and evaluation tasks.
? Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and performing multiple tasks.
? Demonstrated user level proficiency with Financial Accounting software and systems.
? Ability to maintain required financial controls and to support audits as necessary.
? Ability to comprehend and perform to defined procedures and processes.
? Ability to demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all interactions.
? Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
? Effective customer service and team building skills.
? Experience with expense and invoicing functionality in SAP.
? Requires a nimble mindset, clear communication style and an interest in accounting.
? Participate in various duties that enhance company productivity and procedures.
? Other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
? Eligible to receive college credit for the internship.
? Dedicate a maximum of 25 hours a week to the internship from February 2025 to May 2025.
? Pursuing a college degree, preferably in Accounting, or related discipline.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Experience in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
? Ability to succeed in team-oriented and independent project environments.
? Demonstrate a high level of detail-orientation.
? Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude.
