JOB SUMMARY ? To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

The Patient Support Specialist is the primary contact for patients exploring the NanoKnife System for prostate tissue ablation. This role ensures compassionate, professional support, educates patients about the technology, and facilitates connections to physicians, creating a patient-focused and seamless experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
? Patient Support: Respond to inquiries, provide educational materials, and collect intake information
? Referral Coordination: Verify patient requests, maintain physician databases, and facilitates referrals to appropriate physicians
? Follow Up: Conduct post-referral check-ins, address concerns, and collect feedback to improve processes
? Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate patient records, report metrics, and ensure compliance with regulations
? Insurance/Clinical Support: Direct patients in need of support to Healthcare Economics/Medical Affairs Assistance
? May perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience
? Bachelor?s Level of Degree in the healthcare, business, life science or related field of study
? 2 years of demonstrated experience in healthcare, patient advocacy, or a customer-facing role, preferably within oncology or medical device
? Familiarity with medical referral processes and patient intake workflows preferred
? Experience in oncology, urology or prostate treatment preferred

Skills/Knowledge
? Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple patient requests simultaneously
? Ability to work independently and travel as needed to support program goals
? Knowledge of advanced medical devices, including the NanoKnife System
? Proficiency in navigating healthcare insurance processes and advocating for patients
? Compassion: Deep understanding of the emotional and physical challenges faced by patients recently diagnosed with prostate cancer
? Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to handle patient interactions with tact, respect and confidentiality
? Efficiency: Commitment to providing timely and accurate responses to patient inquiries and facilitating seamless referrals
? Collaboration: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including physicians, sales teams, and administrative staff, to achieve program goals
? Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office
? Exceptional interpersonal skills.
? Strong organizational skills.
? Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
? Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
? Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
