This position is full time on site at NEPA Credit Union - A Division of UECU.

Located at 337 Clay Ave Stroudsburg, PA 18360

Working Hours - 8:30am to 5:15pm Monday to Friday. No weekends required, but subject to availability as needed.
Position Summary

Responsibilities include servicing the daily needs of our membership, providing information regarding member's accounts, credit union services and products. Serves our membership with care and accuracy in processing a variety of transactions in the lobby including cash transactions, receiving, and processing deposit transactions, processing loan payment transactions, disbursing checks and completing transfers between accounts. Required Skills/Abilities: ? Proficiency in reading, writing, organizational and mathematical skills. ? Demonstrated problem solving skills. ? Proficient communication skills, including professional phone etiquette, and the ability to interact well with members and all levels of staff, as well as active listening skills. ? Requires strong attention to detail. ? Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, particularly Microsoft Word. ? Strong customer service skills. ? Commitment to Member Service Success. ? Ability to maintain professional poise and remain calm under pressure of time, overcoming obstacles, and handling difficult lobby/call situations with demonstrated self-control. ? Ability to learn and apply new information quickly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Serves as a resource to address members' questions or problems related to credit union products and services. ? Responsible for performing teller transactions and account maintenance at the teller window and ITM locations. ? Balances and replenishes the Integrated Teller Machines (ITM's), cash recycling machines, and coin counting machines. ? Processes Check 21, balances and updates corresponding spreadsheets. Reconciles any errors. ? Assists with maintaining the Safe Deposit Program, to ensure compliance with the Safe Deposit Box Policy. ? Completes member asset verifications when received. ? Serves as "Greeter," greeting members as they enter the credit union facility and directing them to the appropriate credit union staff member for assistance, as requested. ? Balance own transactions daily, handle cash and checks received in accordance with policy and procedure. ? Maintain a strong understanding of the features and benefits of UECU products and services to convey to members. Recognize an opportunity to further engage our members through education and proactive conversations. Cross sell credit union memberships as well as UECU products and services. Refer members to internal partners as appropriate. ? Maintain solid knowledge of and comply with established operating policies and procedures. Maintain adequate controls to ensure the Credit Union's adherence to outside regulatory requirements. ? Maintains a cash drawer; balances and audits the cash drawer according to policy and procedures. ? Responsible for ensuring that all responsibilities of this position are performed in compliance with provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ? Ensure that UECU's business standards are met by exemplifying the Credit Union's Vision, Purpose and Values toward co-workers, members, and our community. ? Display conduct that reflects inclusion during work hours whether in the office, working remotely, or on company business. ? Responsible for adhering to the expectations set forth in the UECU Remote Work Policy, which can be found in the Employee Handbook. ? Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances. Position may require: ? Utilizes video banking technology and the core system to open new consumer and business member accounts, share draft accounts, share certificates, enroll members in electronic services and perform member transactions and account. Job Requirements (Education/Experience): ? High School Diploma or equivalent with training in basic math. ? A minimum of two years of customer service experience involving face to face and/or telephone contacts. ? Familiarity with credit unions and the financial services field is required.
