Know Your Worth is searching for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join its rapidly growing team. At Know Your Worth, our mission is to bring consistency, guidance, and confidence to each client?s business bookkeeping needs. Our ultimate goal is to get our clients? books in perfect working order and eliminate any stress surrounding their financial organization.

As a part-time bookkeeper for Know Your Worth, your primary responsibility will be to deliver bookkeeping to your assigned clients using QuickBooks Online and any other necessary accounting/banking/payroll platforms or software. If appropriate, you will be asked to act as your assigned clients? primary point of contact, meaning you would answer client communication promptly, efficiently, and professionally.

YOUR ROLE

This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and virtual, allowing you to work from anywhere! Know Your Worth is based out of Pittsburgh, PA. We serve clients locally and throughout the US. All of the tools and platforms that we utilize are internet-based.

The ideal candidate for this position has a strong background in bookkeeping, primarily QuickBooks Online. We are excited to work with someone highly self-motivated with excellent communication and analytical skills. This person must be willing to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment.

Most importantly, we are looking for a detail-oriented candidate who is open-minded and able to research the answers to their questions and problem-solve independently when appropriate.

Know Your Worth is a young and quickly growing organization adapting to its clients? increasing needs. For this reason, we sometimes figure things out on the fly and problem-solve as we go. We are seeking someone flexible enough to be comfortable with this fast-paced work environment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
? Associate?s Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
? Must have at least two years of experience in bookkeeping.
? A firm grasp of debits and credits and accrual accounting.
? Working knowledge of the following software or systems:
? QuickBooks Online (Invoicing, Bills, Payroll, Reporting, Bank Reconciliations, Integrations with systems like PayPal, Shopify, etc.)
? Microsoft Office and Excel
? GSuite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive)
? Online communication platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams
? Knowledge of various payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, etc.)

? PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER DUTIES

Your daily duties may include, but are not limited to:
? Maintaining up-to-date client bookkeeping records.
? Managing account operations for clients.
? Researching ?new? or ?unknown? transactions by accessing supplemental systems/data.
? Processing incoming payments made by check, credit card, or EFT.
? Preparing and making bank deposits.
? Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements/reports.
? Managing month-end and year-end closing processes.
? Various financial-related HR tasks for clients (payroll processing, new hire forms, state registrations for income tax withholding, etc.)
? State tax filings for clients.
? Maintaining 1099 contractor paperwork and processing annual 1099 reports.
? Maintaining each client based on their specific needs.
? Communicating with clients effectively through appropriate communication platforms.
? Any other reasonable or client-centered duties. These may vary depending on client needs and preferences.
? AVAILABILITY AND COMPENSATION

This position is a part-time, remote position. You can work from anywhere with a stable internet connection and a computer or laptop. Our ideal candidate can work 3-4 hours weekly (Monday-Friday) between 9 AM and 5 PM EST. Estimated weekly hours are 10-20.

Compensation for this position is between $20 and $30 per hour based on experience level.
