The Account Specialist, Health & Benefits plays a critical role in supporting the client management team by providing healthcare and group benefits solutions. This includes plan design, vendor evaluation, management, and conducting benefits meetings for clients' employees. The position involves collaboration with Account Managers, Account Executives, and Producers to ensure client needs are met while maintaining high customer service standards. The role offers career growth opportunities within a hybrid work environment, primarily working from home with occasional office and client meetings in Colorado.
Responsibilities
? Assist colleagues in managing the annual lifecycle of employee benefits for clients

? Review clients' benefit options and update benefit guides
,
? Answer client questions and address escalated member benefit issues
,
? Work with vendors to resolve employer and employee benefits issues
,
? Organize and participate in employee meetings such as open enrollment and benefits fairs
,
? Assist with RFPs for clients and help new clients through the onboarding process
,
? Maintain clients' insurance policies and ensure compliance processes are followed and documented
Requirements
? 2-5 years of professional experience, ideally in health insurance
,
? Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, especially Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
,
? Home office space with high-speed internet
,
? Leadership skills to apply judgment, motivate others, and promote teamwork
,
? Strong relationship management and customer focus to serve clients and resolve conflicts
,
? Ability to engage effectively with carriers and clients to maintain renewal terms and existing business
,
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
,
? Problem-solving abilities, including critical thinking and adaptability
,
? Project management skills, including attention to detail, organizational skills, prioritization, and time management
,
? Must successfully complete appropriate licensing exam(s) and/or maintain required licensing by completing various Continuing Education activities as needed
