Job Summary The Radiation Oncology Nurse is responsible for collaborating with the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapist to coordinate services that ensure quality patient care and continuity of services to patients and their families in the department. This position reports to the Clinical Director, Cancer Center and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN preferred For candidates who do not have a BSN, a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years' experience in in radiation oncology or other relevant experience required Certification in Oncology Nursing required within 18 months of hire date. If certification is not received within 18 months, position will be forfeited Licensure to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required Current BLS certification required Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to practice independently and as a team member required Knowledge of basic computer skills required Ability to maintain patient confidentiality required Ability to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and family members required Additional Job Details (if applicable) Additional Job Description Remote Type Onsite Work Location 30 Locust Street Scheduled Weekly Hours 0 Employee Type Per Diem Work Shift Day (United States of America) EEO Statement: Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc. is an Affirmative Action Employer.
