POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Mortgage Assistance Analyst I (Loss Mit) will be responsible for the processing activities related to Mortgage Assistance functions including but not limited to: Assumptions and Loss Mitigation intake and opening. They will work with all Servicing departments to establish a net-new mortgage servicer. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and executing mortgage assistance policies and procedures effectively. This position plays a critical role in assisting borrowers facing important financial decisions and possible financial difficulties, by ensuring loan assumptions and loss mitigation options are processed accurately and promptly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
? Ensures all reviews, system updates and quality control measures comply with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
? Ensures accurate and timely documentation and reporting of loan decisions and actions.
? Ensures a customer-centric approach in mortgage assistance efforts.
? Collaborates in the resolution of escalated customer issues and complaints related to mortgage assistance.
? Promotes a culture of empathy and understanding in dealing with distressed borrowers.
? Assists with the development of the mortgage assistance ecosystem.
? Executes mortgage assistance policies and procedures effectively and provides feedback to management in relation to them, as needed.
? Ensures compliance with State, Federal, Regulatory, and Investor Requirements and guidelines, maintains up-to-date knowledge of internal policies and procedures, and understands how requirement changes affect the operation.
? Collaborates with risk management and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory standards.
? Stays updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices within the mortgage assistance functions and continuously evaluates and improves processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
? Other projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications And Experience
? The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of previous experience with knowledge of loan assumption and loss mitigation intake and opening activities, principles and regulatory requirements.
? Demonstrates a deep understanding of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines.
? Loan origination processing experience preferred.
? Ability to have a cross-functional impact across the servicing operation.
? Highly organized, reliable, and results-driven.
? Ability to hustle, willingness to learn, and adapt quickly to working in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
? Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
? Ability to engage with peers and stakeholders effectively to achieve goals and objectives.

PHYSICAL And ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

Compensation

Non-Exempt hourly range of $24.04/hour - $28.85/hour (Salary equivalent: $50,000 - $60,000)

F actors that affect salary may include Mortgage Servicing , overall knowledge of mortgage servicing industry, number of years worked in mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage customers , and education.
