Our challenge
We are seeking a skilled ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tester to join our team. The ETL Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and testing methodologies.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Newark, DE is $95k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities: ? Design and develop test cases and test scenarios for ETL processes based on business requirements and technical specifications. ? Execute test cases to validate the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. ? Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure consistency between source data and target data after ETL processes. ? Identify and report defects, issues, and anomalies in ETL processes, and work closely with development teams to resolve them. ? Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality throughout the ETL lifecycle. ? Participate in the design and implementation of ETL testing strategies and best practices to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. ? Develop and maintain automated test scripts for ETL processes to streamline testing efforts and enhance test coverage. ? Conduct performance testing and optimization of ETL processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and reliability of data loading operations. ? Document test results, test plans, and test reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams. ? Stay updated on industry trends, ETL tools, and best practices in data testing to continuously improve the ETL testing process. Requirements:
You are:
? Experience Range: 8+ Years
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
? Proven experience in ETL testing, data warehouse testing, or related data testing roles.
? Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data modeling, SQL, and database technologies.
? Proficiency in using ETL testing tools and frameworks such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar tools.
? Familiarity with data profiling, data quality, and data governance principles.
