ACRS seeks a full-time Assistant Accountant - Payroll who responsible for supporting and maintaining Agency payroll system and function.
? **Schedule: Mon ? Fri, no weekend work!

COMPETITIVE BENEFTIS PACKAGE INCLUDES:
? Pay range is between $23.45 to $25.51 hourly. Can increase based on experience with possible increases after 6 months from date of hire.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Processes payments including mileage reimbursement, vacation cashout, milestone cashout, special extra pay, retroactive pay, first and last paychecks for new hires and staff leaving the agency, and telecommuting benefits.
? Handles 403b deductions, L&I setup, and benefits adjustments.
? Maintains shared leave records, handles timesheet updates, distributes earning statements. Responds to FTE change requests, requests for timesheet archive, direct deposit requests (prenote), employees requests for payroll records, and employment verifications.
? Generates reports requested by departments, supports the follow up of opening new SEP accounts, and maintains payroll files.
? Enters monthly direct deposits, prepare medical record invoices.
? Attends all agency, program and team meetings, in-service trainings, and supervision.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: ? Associate?s Degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent, AND ? Two (2) years accounting and/or payroll experience. ? Must be eligible for bonding. ? Knowledge of GAAP, basic accounting procedure and computerized accounting system. ? Detail oriented, well organized, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines. ? Ability to provide effective and respectful service to employees, visitors and clients of diverse cultural beliefs and practices. ? Effective ability to navigate a personal computer. Competency in use of the Microsoft Office and other relevant software for word processing, calendaring, e-mail, and data entry. Efficiently research and perform various tasks via the internet.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Regularly required to move about the office or work space; use hands and arms to reach and operate objects, tools, or controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position is hybrid, with work divided between remote and on-site locations. Approximately 50% of the work will be performed remotely (telecommuting), while the remaining 50% will be conducted on-site. These hybrid work expectations are subject to change at the agency?s discretion. The noise level in the on-site work environment is moderate.
