DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
? Provides leadership and support for the Medical Center's peer review process
? Provides Patient Safety and QI case reviews
? Remote/Hybrid opportunity

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
? Using the medical record, performs clinical data abstraction and review related to mortalities
? Creates and runs the bi-weekly mortality report and other reports
? Coordinates the mortality review process and presents finding to the Medical Quality Improvement Committee
? Conducts patient safety and other QI case reviews as requested

REQUIREMENTS
? License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington required by start date
? At least 5 years of nursing experience to include inpatient critical care nursing experience AND at least 3 years of nursing experience in an academic medical center
? One year of experience in quality improvement
