About the position

This position is integral to the TD Store, where the Teller I will engage with customers, educate them about TD's products and services, and refer them to specialized partners when necessary. In this role, the Teller I will perform a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and safe deposit box payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all operations. The position requires the processing of cash transactions, such as cashing checks and verifying currency, while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. The Teller I will also be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and resolving concerns, utilizing standard procedures and escalating issues to management when necessary. Lobby leadership is a key aspect of this role, where the Teller I will orchestrate customer flow, warmly welcome customers, and guide them appropriately. Understanding customer preferences and educating them on self-service and digital options is essential. The Teller I will advocate for customers by conducting needs-based conversations and offering financial and digital solutions, ensuring compliance with operational activities in accordance with company guidelines and regulations. The role also involves verifying customer identities, adhering to security measures, and completing required training to ensure readiness for the position.

Responsibilities
? Deliver legendary customer experiences by executing appropriate behaviors in the store.

? Verify customers' identities by following authentication policies and procedures.

? Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Dispensers as necessary.

? Adhere to safe deposit box procedures and operations.

? Maintain appropriate cash limits and secure cash at all times.

? Ensure confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day.

? Follow all security and audit measures to minimize potential loss.

? Utilize bank tools and processes to detect, address, and prevent fraud.

? Complete all required in-classroom and online training by established due dates.

Requirements
? High school diploma or GED required.

? 6 months of work-related experience preferred, or equivalent experience through volunteering, education, or military service.

? Ability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.

? Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.

? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

? Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment.
