The Sales Representative II is responsible, under the direct supervision of the Sales Manager, for the administration of all assigned account relationships and for the development of new business for the Premium Finance Company. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Maintain and service assigned portfolios and appropriately cross sell other bank products. Maintain close customer contact to ensure continued satisfaction and to follow or anticipate additional financing needs. Negotiate to properly structured and priced credit facilities consistent with the Premium Finance Companies credit policies and lending practices. Ensure the agency profile is complete prior to submission. Recommend terms and pricing in line with the retail agencies size and volume. Help to respolve any high level collection issues. Ensure that lines of credit are renewed in a timely fashion. Respond to customer needs in a timely fashion. Ensure that customer requests with other departments are being properly followed clearly all service issues. Respond quickly and effectively on all new business referrals from Senior Management or other areas of the Premium Finance Company. Maintain and follow a list of prospective customers. Develop and maintain new business sources. Solicit new business as opportunities may arise from existing customers, at business social functions, or through state association events. Provide reports of information as required. Assist with problem resolution. Comply with all regulations pertaining to BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC. Complete annual BSA training. Report suspicions of criminal activity, or any attempt to avoid BSA reporting requirements on the part of customers or employees, to the AML/BSA Compliance Department. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years outside sales experience with proven goal achievement in the financial and/or banking industry. Familiarity with credit underwriting, basic accounting and loan documentation. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Good level of interpersonal and social skills needed to interact with customers or prospective clients. Good personal time management skills. Good mathematical skills. Ability to sell and negotiate. Ability to meet sales goals. Good administrative skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Preferred Knowledge and Skills Bachelors degree preferred. Level of Complexity and Scope Degree of Independence and Decision-Making Required Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Requirements Frequent travel necessary to solicit new business or visit clients Valid drivers license Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and a computer printer. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading or visual inspection of work. The person in this position frequently communicates with peers within own department or other departments. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Frequently drives to customer, events and/or other company offices to conduct business.
