Role Overview
As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will be an essential part of the mortgage loan process, ensuring that all aspects of the pre-funding quality control process are managed efficiently. Your role will involve detailed file reviews, maintaining turn times, and supporting various projects.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Funding Quality Control:
Generate and review QC status and selection reports from previous day's loan submissions.
Create and complete review files, following the Pre-Funding Quality Control Review Checklist.
Conduct verbal verifications of employment (VOE) and request re-verifications of 1003, VOE, and VOD.
Ensure appraisal reviews are completed and audit for discrepancies.
Escalate discrepancies to Underwriting as needed.
Complete a second review to verify that all outstanding findings have been addressed.
Compile and upload the Final Findings Report at the end of each month.
Post-Closing Quality Control
Manage the transfer of Trust Screens, Appraisals, and Final HUD-1s from Encompass to the BSI folder and portal.
Perform tasks normally handled by the Quality Control Support Specialist, as needed.
Qualifications
3 years of recent mortgage processing or underwriting experience preferred.
Proficiency in DU/DO, LP, and major Originating systems.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Candidates within 50 miles of the Sacramento corporate office will be expected to work a hybrid schedule with two days per week in the office.
