The Legal Counsel - Investment Bank position at Deutsche Bank is designed for a skilled lawyer who will provide comprehensive legal advice to various investment banking trading and lending desks. This role is crucial as it involves supervising outside counsel and being an integral part of the Bank's lending, finance, and securities coverage team within the investment bank. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating transaction documents and conducting legal and risk assessments for complex transactions, including cross-border transactions. In this role, the Legal Counsel will have broad transactional coverage of Global Credit Lending and Trading and LatAm Emerging Markets businesses within the Investment Bank. The candidate will provide expert legal advice, draft, review, and advise on a wide variety of structured finance transactions, including direct lending, project finance, aviation finance, repurchase transactions, risk participation agreements, and credit insurance agreements. Additionally, the role requires active involvement in managing legal, regulatory, and reputational risks, necessitating close coordination with other risk functions. The Legal Counsel will also advise the lending, trading, and structuring groups regarding the legal and regulatory framework governing the securities markets, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and the Investment Company Act of 1940 (as amended). Knowledge of Dodd Frank and other laws governing structured finance and securities markets is essential, with expertise on the Volcker Rule being a plus. The candidate will represent Deutsche Bank on related industry and regulatory committees and working groups when appropriate.
Responsibilities

Requirements
? Moderate experience as a transactional attorney in a law firm or corporate in-house legal department.

? Experience in financial services preferred.
