The Administrative Patient Experience Representative at Boston Children's Hospital plays a crucial role in supporting the Plastic and Oral Surgery Department by ensuring high-quality customer service and efficient patient care coordination. This hybrid position involves both in-person and remote work, focusing on scheduling, patient communication, and administrative tasks to enhance the patient experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
? Monitor the physicians' clinical, operative, meeting, and personal schedule/calendar.

? Schedule and register patients for office visits and procedures, updating demographic and insurance information.

? Act as the primary contact between the physician and patient families, addressing and resolving patient issues and concerns.

? Manage patient call volume, answering appointment requests and routing calls appropriately.

? Coordinate care by communicating the plan of care to families and managing every step of the patient's care.

? Prepare charts for physician's clinics and check patients in for various appointments.

? Organize patient information, verify insurance, and obtain required medical records and referrals.

? Handle administrative tasks such as patient correspondence, sorting incoming mail, and processing patient paperwork.
Requirements
? Excellent customer-service skills and ability to express empathy in difficult situations.

? Strong attention to detail with multitasking abilities and effective communication skills.

? Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

? High School Diploma or GED; Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

? Previous experience in an office setting is preferred; healthcare experience, dental or surgical scheduling is a plus.
