About the position

The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Fidelity and Crime, Executive Underwriter to manage and oversee the growing Fidelity & Crime business in the Central Region. This role involves underwriting new business, developing agency relationships, and driving underwriting excellence while supporting overall territory goals. The position allows for hybrid or fully remote work, with travel required for meetings and client visits.

Responsibilities
? Underwrite new business and manage agency, broker, and wholesale relationships.

? Achieve financial targets for overall growth and profitability.

? Drive execution of plans to achieve results and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.

? Develop new business opportunities with new and existing agents.
,
? Build strong partnerships and promote the Hanover franchise.
,
? Provide input and assist in broader strategy formulation with a focus on execution.
,
? Identify and drive enhanced business opportunities and create growth within other lines of business.
,
? Engage at the customer level for complex accounts within the territory.
,
? Implement territory business plans and monitor performance for profitable growth.
,
? Collect market intelligence and advocate for necessary changes.
,
? Assist in the development of new product capabilities and identify growth opportunities.
,
? Manage portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve profitability.
,
? Assist other team underwriters with challenging technical underwriting situations.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree required; professional designations preferred.
,
? 7+ years' proven LOB underwriting experience across numerous classes of business.
,
? Strong proficiency in underwriting, book management, marketing, and product development.
,
? Ability to coach Underwriters and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
,
? Excellent communication skills, including face-to-face interactions and presentations.
,
? Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of the organization.
,
? High degree of business, insurance, and marketplace knowledge.
,
? Sound judgement, decision making, and technical skills.
