Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) School-Based Position | Kansas City, KS

BlazerJobs is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time school-based position in Kansas City, KS. The selected candidate will work within a school environment, providing direct healthcare services to students and assisting the school nurse in ensuring the health and well-being of all students. Responsibilities: ? Provide routine health care and first aid to students in accordance with school health policies. ? Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. ? Assist with the management of chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) for students. ? Monitor and manage students? health needs throughout the school day. ? Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical assistance as needed. ? Assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis) and maintain appropriate documentation. ? Maintain accurate and up-to-date student health records in compliance with school and state policies. ? Work closely with school administration, teachers, and parents to address health concerns. ? Provide health education to students, faculty, and staff on various health topics. ? Help maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring all medical supplies and equipment are ready and available for use.

Qualifications: ? Active LPN License in the state of Kansas. ? High School Diploma or equivalent; LPN Certification required. ? Prior experience in healthcare, especially in pediatric or school nursing, is preferred but not required. ? Strong communication and organizational skills. ? Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor when working with students. ? Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced school environment. ? Knowledge of school health policies and student care procedures is a plus.

Details & Requirements: ? Location: Kansas City, KS ? Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) ? Start Date: ASAP ? Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM ? 3:30 PM (school hours) ? Caseload: Students with varying health needs, including chronic conditions and emergency care situations.
