Compensation is between $56,927 - $85,391 per year DOE

Based in Seattle, you will play a crucial role in the creation and execution of a compelling morning show that connects with our listeners on a personal and spiritual level. This is primarily an off-air position and not a co-host position.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Morning Show Producer partners with the KCMS Morning Show Host to create a compelling, relevant, faith-infused morning show with a Seattle, Washington focus. Maintain high standards in all areas, including idea generation, developing raw ideas into finished content, technical and organizational skills, and on-air show execution. In collaboration with the KCMS Morning Show Host, responsible for researching and generating highly engaging, encouraging, and Jesus-focused content. Coordinate show guests and carry out other needed tasks as assigned by the KCMS Morning Show Host to accomplish the mission of the KCMS Morning Show.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
(General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities) DUTIES
Planning and preparation
? Create on-air gospel focused content (IE: faith-based stories, conducting interviews, etc.) for the morning show, meeting and managing segment breaks; Collaborate with the Program Director and VP of Media on developing station contests to increase listener engagement and how to execute successfully.
? Proactively research and develop prep material for a LIVE, local, ?in the moment? show, focusing on gospel-focused content.
? Independently research popular media trends through texts, e-mail, phone, in-person conversations, etc., to enhance interview discussions with Christ centered guests.
? Collaborate with morning show host to pre-interview and assist with developing interview questions.
? Manage online guest booking calendar and show contacts lists.
? Prepare, construct and produce show promos by writing scripts and adding audio where necessary to promote the station and CRISTA's brand; use independent judgement regarding most effective placement of promotional material.
Production
? Use creativity to match audio with show segments to enhance listener experience, increase personal connections to stories and drive ratings.
? Edit and provide on-air content from interviews to be used as material for other venues (IE: Holiday and weekend shows and podcasts); use edited content as a coaching opportunity for other staff showing proper technique and protocol of cutting audio into successful segments.
? Obtain contact information from contest winners and provide to Promotions team.
? Handle key aspects of show communication internally and externally with listeners, such as texting, phone calls, social media, and email.
Additional Program Support
? Participate in station events to meet with individuals and enhance CRISTA's brand and reputation; grow deeper relationships with listeners by offering prayer and spiritual encouragement.
? Provide occasional fill-in and backup services for board operation during on-air fundraisers or other specialty programming.
? Collaborate with the Morning Show Host to create short-form content for social media and contribute to online content as needed.
? Create new show imaging by deciding what elements of the show are promotable, coordinating with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director on what material will resonate the best with listeners.
? Other duties as assigned by Management.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

? Ongoing affirmation of, alignment with and support of CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
? Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
EDUCATION
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
2+ years' experience working on-air, or in a production or related capacity, in a large or major market.
SOFTWARE / EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE
? Radio automation software
? Professional-grade audio editing software

? Individuals must have denominational knowledge and respect for other denominations to be able to convey an inclusive presentation on air and in person.
? Currently participating in a church in some capacity.
? Creative in various ways of spot production and be a master at Adobe Audition systems.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.?
