Market Data Vendor Strategy team works within Investment Banking Division (IBD). The team provides guidance to internal users on data services and datasets appropriate for specific roles and use cases, coordinates expense management, and provides data analytics to enable users to manage costs effectively.
The team also coordinates selection of products and datasets, inventory control, usage analysis as well as ongoing management of third party market data vendors.
In addition, the team focuses on Strategic Information Services Program Deliverables for content delivery initiatives.
In this role you will manage market data vendors across the purchase cycle ? trials, selection, onboarding, packaging, roll outs, provisioning, entitlements, product demises; coordinate with Engineering on maintenance, upgrades, issue resolution; liaise with Legal, Compliance and Tech Risk to insure all contracts meet Firm standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Purchase data products on a one-off basis for deal/client teams
? Review inventories, entitlements and usage to insure that charges are correct and deployments are valid and products being used effectively/efficiently
? Coordinate new vendor relationships and renewals globally, including Asia
? Build data analytics to empower market data users to maximize the value of their data purchases
? Continually monitor the vendor landscape to identify new offerings and datasets that may increase value and efficiency of bankers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
? 3-6 years? experience working in financial institutions
? Strong excel skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Experience with project management
? Experience with using visualization software (Tableau, Qlikview or equivalent)
? Knowledge of data vendor products and specialist datasets (S&P Market Intelligence, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, FactSet, Euromonitor, etc.)
? Understanding of Investment Banking business functions will enable you to contribute to the formulation of strategies to reduce operating expenses and impact revenue for the division
? Familiar with products and datasets offered by Market Data vendors or vendor management
? Experience analyzing large datasets and data visualization
? Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and with self-direction
? Strong team collaboration skills along with the ability to work across the division and the Firm
? Must be an open, clear communicator. Communicate what is relevant and important in a clear and concise manner and share information / new ideas with others
