The Behavioral Clinical Account Manager is an externally facing market representative for Cigna's Behavioral Health products, services, and solutions. This role is pivotal in promoting improvement in behavioral health and well-being within employee populations by leveraging Cigna's offerings and local community resources. The position requires a strong background in behavioral health, as the manager will act as a consultant both internally and externally, ensuring that clients and partners are well-informed about the available resources and strategies for enhancing behavioral health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health field, along with an independent license to practice in their state of residence. A minimum of five years of experience in a behavioral health setting is required, which may include outpatient mental health, treatment of substance use disorders, inpatient mental health, and intensive outpatient care. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of experience in a behavioral managed care organization, focusing on utilization management and case management. A history of strategic management or leadership is strongly preferred. In this role, the Behavioral Clinical Account Manager will work closely with assigned markets to support the growth and retention of the Behavioral Product book of business. Responsibilities include providing consultation and education to internal partners, clients, and brokers, as well as acting in a consultative manner to employer groups regarding behavioral wellness strategies and improvement plans. The manager will also be responsible for resolving escalated behavioral customer issues and quantifying market behavioral trends to communicate effectively with leadership. Participation in market events and presentations is also a key aspect of the role, along with maintaining clinical licensure and certification.
Responsibilities
? Work with assigned markets to support growth and retention of The Behavioral Product book of business.

? Help sales promote new products and capabilities as they come to market.

? Provide Behavioral Health consultation and education to internal matrix partners, clients, and brokers.

? Act in a consultative manner to employer groups regarding building behavioral wellness strategies and improvement plans.

? Demonstrate subject matter expertise in Cigna's suite of behavioral products, particularly Total Behavioral Health and other premier solutions.

? Assist market sales teams with obtaining and retaining business related to behavioral health challenges.

? Serve as the central point of intake for escalated behavioral customer issues, providing guidance and education to resolve matters.

? Engage with internal matrix partners to effectively resolve escalated matters as needed.

? Quantify and describe market behavioral trends and needs, communicating effectively to leadership.

? Play a primary role in escalated issue resolution and educate others on clinical utilization review processes.

? Attend market events, including forums, summits, and client dinners, and present at these events as needed.

? Participate in planning and execution of medical and behavioral site visits, presenting on behavioral services and solutions.

? Innovate based on client and market needs in a measurable manner, in conjunction with management.

? Maintain clinical licensure and certification while working as a collaborative partner on a multi-disciplinary market-facing clinical team.

? Provide Employee Assistance Program account support and participate in health fairs and benefit events.
Requirements
? Master's Degree or higher in a Behavioral Health field.

? Independent license to practice in the state of residence (e.g., LCSW-C, LMFT, LCPC).

? Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in a behavioral health setting.

? Minimum of 2 years of experience in a behavioral managed care organization, including utilization management and case management.

? Prior strategic management or leadership history strongly preferred.

? Must obtain a Health Producer's License in the state of residence within 180 days of start date.

? Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills.

? Effective at building relationships and engaging in a consultative fashion.

? Accomplished public speaker.
