The Compliance Risk Specialist will support the Compliance department at SoFi by developing and implementing a third-party regulatory oversight program. This role involves assessing third parties for regulatory compliance risks, advising on necessary controls, updating compliance policies, and assisting in compliance risk assessments. The position is suited for individuals with experience in banking compliance and a passion for consumer protection, aiming to enhance SoFi's compliance management program amidst rapid growth.
Responsibilities
? Develop and maintain a risk-based framework for third-party oversight.

? Review existing third-party oversight activities and provide feedback for enhancements.

? Redesign and implement necessary compliance oversight enhancements across the enterprise.

? Participate in compliance risk assessments and monitoring of third-party providers.

? Serve as a resource for team members on regulatory compliance requirements and best practices.

? Ensure regulatory change management is integrated with third-party providers.
,
? Create analytics and metrics to assess compliance risks of third-party providers.
,
? Streamline Compliance role in the Issue Management and RCSA programs.

? Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in Business or related fields.
,
? 5-7 years of experience in regulatory consumer compliance functions in the banking industry.
,
? In-depth knowledge of deposit and lending products and applicable laws and regulations.
,
? Experience implementing a third-party oversight program at a large federal bank.
,
? Ability to analyze complex laws and regulations and relate them to operational procedures.

? Excellent written and oral communication skills.

? Strong analytical and consultative skills, detail-oriented, and creative problem-solving abilities.

? Demonstrates sound judgment and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.

? Results-driven, self-starter with exemplary communication skills.

? Collaborative team player with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
