Flagstaff Bone and Joint is hiring for a HR and Credentialing Assistant. This position is a full-time position, and yet will allocate their time between two departments: Human Resources (HR) and Business Office/Credentialing.

Under the supervision of the HR manager, the HR Assistant will help provide services for payroll processing, benefit enrollment, internal communications, employee onboarding and general HR duties.

Responsibilities of the HR Assistant include:

Maintaining HR and payroll information by reviewing, calculating and entering data

Updating HR and payroll information by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as earnings, deductions, bonuses, etc.

Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages

Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer's payments for social security, unemployment and worker's compensation

Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries

Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures

Processing and issuing W-2 forms to employees

Other duties as assigned

Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for providing all of the administrative support to ensure all clinical providers of the practice meet their licensure, privileges and contracting requirements and have documents that are up-to-date.

Responsibilities of the Credentialing Coordinator include:

Coordination of the credentialing, re-credentialing and payer enrollment process for all providers in accordance with the credentialing agreements, physician billing services, policies and procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

All credentialing operations, including pursuing non-responsive providers, and ensuring successful and timely completion of the delegated credentialing and re-credentialing process.

Initiates and follows through on reappointment process for the medical staff, making sure that privileges and supporting documents are up to date and current

Responsible for updating practice demographics and re-attestations to Healthcare Companies.

Responsible for the provider personnel file updates and generating reports

Prepares credentialing file for input into a database

Prepares reappointment credentialing files for review, evaluation and approval

Assists Chief Financial Officer in preparing documents and data for meetings

Generates reports to be used by providers to track provider credentials

Skills and Requirements of the HR Assistant and Credentialing Coordinator:

Minimum Education: Minimum HS diploma or equivalent

Experience with the medical staff credentialing process

Knowledge of small-business payroll processing

Strong computer skills such as typing, system and software knowledge

Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail, especially with numbers

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding HR issues and questions

Good working knowledge of employee benefits

Medical terminology knowledge

Sound decision-making skills

Ability to multitask in a stressful environment with specific deadlines

Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment

Confidentiality and respect for the privacy of employee records

Individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a multitude of tasks
