Job Description for Beverage Attendant:
The Beverage Attendant's role involves engaging with guests in a favorable manner and correctly preparing and delivering drinks to both patrons and waitstaff with a welcoming and effective approach. They deliver top-notch hospitality, uphold a tidy bar space, and guarantee adherence to all liquor serving guidelines.
Responsibilities for Beverage Attendant:
• Utilize high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs, and spices to create sensational drinks for guests.
• Greet guests, take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guests.
• Mix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standards.
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
• Provide information on wine characteristics, evaluate guests needs, make appropriate suggestions, and serve wine using proper wine service techniques.
• Work with culinary team to create mixers and garnishes for beverages.
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
• Handle an assigned bank and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
• Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.
• Serve food items to guests seated at the bar.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions.
• Maintain a clean working area by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning of glass doors and windows, etc. as needed.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Organize Catering Storage Areas.
• Attend mandatory meetings.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements for Beverage Attendant:
• Holding the position of a bartender for a minimum of two years
• Capable of working extended hours and adaptable to various schedules, such as early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Profound understanding of beverage formulas.
• Learn to craft and implement unique beverage recipes.
• It is necessary to possess the ability to prepare and deliver beverages promptly.
• Profound expertise in the realm of wines.
• It is essential to uphold a standard of personal cleanliness and a polished look.
• Capability to function autonomously or collaboratively within the organization's service establishment and operation.
• Demonstrating a strong desire and motivation to surpass the expectations of guests.
• The capacity to attentively listen and follow instructions from a manager
• Proficiency in food and beverage handling, service protocols, customer interactions, and proper manners is required.
• Being warm, approachable, and inviting is essential.
• Tips for Team Certification Preferable.
• Proficiency in the English language is necessary for effective communication with visitors.
• Skill in memorizing, reciting, and endorsing the diverse selection of dishes on the menu.
• Capable of carrying weights of up to 50 lbs consistently.
