Job Details:
- Part-time position, 5 days a week, 2-3 hours per day
- 8th Grade caseload, Life Skills Program
- Fully remote, work from the comfort of your own home
Requirements:
- Masters Degree in Special Education
- SPED state certification (Maine certification preferred)
- Compassionate, kind, and patient, with a passion for working with students with diverse needs
- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Special Education state certification
- Bilingual and monolingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Our remote special education teachers follow the same framework and duties as in-person instructors, utilizing videoconference technology to provide engaging and interactive online learning experiences. We provide training and support to all involved, ensuring that student progress is not interrupted.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the individual needs of each child and create a healthy, inspiring, and supportive learning environment
- Prepare, execute, and assess student work, using special tools and equipment to stimulate an interesting learning experience
- Collaborate with the Class Teacher and Lead Teacher to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience
- Update parents on student progress, providing recommendations to promote better learning at home
