Job Title: Data Analytics Systems Administrator
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Systems Administrator to join our team, responsible for integrating corporate data assets to support insightful reporting and decision-making. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will work with data to extract insights, transform information into compelling reports and visualizations, and drive business strategy. Your responsibilities will include extracting and preparing data from the data warehouse, optimizing data workflows, developing and delivering data solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of data across systems.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a range of data sources, leverage visualization tools to present findings effectively, and collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to align data solutions with organizational needs. We are open to candidates with a range of experience levels, and the final level (System Administrator or Senior System Administrator) will be determined based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
This position is eligible to work hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy, and applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

Compensation:
$92,000 - 126,000. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Extract, analyze, and transform data to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
- Fulfill data requests by developing and implementing data integration solutions.
- Maintain a knowledge repository documenting data sources, business rules, and processing methodologies.
- Collaborate with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to align data solutions with organizational needs.
- Support reporting and visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, internal solutions, and third-party products.
Requirements:
- Experience utilizing ETL tools and frameworks, including Informatica, SSIS, and data pipelines.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with experience accessing and querying various corporate and disparate data sources.
- Familiarity with modern data architectures, including data lakes, relational databases, and data models.
- Hands-on experience with reporting and visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, and other related platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing data management challenges.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School is preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in I.T. and/or application development is required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing assigned technologies by performing regular maintenance tasks, including updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting, within defined service levels.
