Tutor - Remote Reading

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reading Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working with students of various ages and backgrounds, providing personalized instruction, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Tutor will play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding of the curriculum and supporting their educational journey. Duties • Educate students by delivering tailored lessons based on individual learning needs and goals. • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum. • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to education. • Assist in curriculum development to enhance educational offerings. • Provide support for special education needs, adapting teaching methods as necessary. • Work with early childhood education programs or adult education initiatives as required. • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to stakeholders. • Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student participation and confidence. Requirements • Proven experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information. • Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques. • Experience in special education or early childhood education is preferred. • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs. • Background in childcare is advantageous but not mandatory. • A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
