DP needed with fisheye lens needed to shoot concert in Berkeley

Remote, USA Full-time Posted 2025-11-09
Looking for a DP with experience with 360/VR, preferibly someone in the Bay Area, LA works too. We need to film only one song at the moment the cell phone lights are on, usually at the end. Other info below is from my original DP (Joergen) who is currently based in Norway. We just got approval finally from the venue (Greek Theater at Berkeley) to film the Lucy Dacus concert on August 16 so the turnaround is quick and unexpected (less than 2 days). Could be a good DP without 360 experience, depending. Specs of Camera (possibly to rent or ideal if have): Black Magic Ursa LF with fisheye lens, but possibly could be another camera that shoots 8K video with a fisheye lens. Specs of Settings/camera angle: Ideally, film at 8k video with the lens set to 8mm, place the camera on a tripod, facing straight up. About chin-level. F5.6 or f6.4, 1/60s, hyperfocal distance at 0.8-1.0m. WB, iso up to you. Ideally, get the whole sequence with people holding phones in. Also from DP who had to propose the specifics of our filming to the venue for approval: here is our proposal how to film the show at the greek theater on aug 16 3. talk to contact person/stage manager, stake out a place for a tripod in front of the middle of the stage (in the pit). considerations for crowd control safety need to be taken serious. placement is marked in the attached image. getting the song list to get a sense of timing from the stage manager or crew 4. setup camera and framing, based on best guess. camera will be a black magic ursa LF with fisheye lens. 5. remove the camera, and leave the tripod in place until the 3rd last song (TBD). the tripod will not impede the view of the audience to the stage. I will be waiting somewhere in the wings. 5. 3rd last song: put the camera back on the tripod, getting ready to film. there may be minor impediment of the view of maybe a handful of people in the front row. the camera will be probably slightly at or above eye level of the audience (5ft6in - 6ft) 6. film the 2nd last song (TBD) with all the lights. 7. take off the camera after the 2nd last song, and return to the wings 8. break down tripod after the show Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
