Bid and Proposal Pricing Lead
About the position
Responsibilities
• Lead pricing on RAND's most complex and important opportunities, serving as the lead interface with Program and Division leadership.
• Manage pricing support functions from pre-RFP activities through proposal negotiations.
• Guide the proposal cost team and manage all cost volume development activities in accordance with RFP specifications.
• Ensure business/price volumes are consistent with RAND business practices and acquisition regulations.
• Dissect RFPs to determine pricing requirements for business/price volume development.
• Develop pricing strategies for proposals to ensure competitiveness and client acceptance.
• Conduct market research and price analyses to determine effective pricing models and strategies.
• Document and refine pricing processes and procedures to drive operational efficiencies.
• Provide training and support to less experienced team members on pricing types and budget creation.
Requirements
• Expert experience with price and cost proposal preparation for US government and commercial clients.
• High proficiency in developing budgets for various contract types (e.g., T&M, FFP, CPFF, Grant).
• Extensive experience in developing price strategies and conducting cost comparisons.
• Experience with Salesforce and other technology platforms in the Professional Services Industry; Adaptive Planning and Pro Pricer preferred.
• Experience submitting proposals greater than $10M in total value.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with federal contracts and grants pricing types.
• Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one.
