Role Description As a Customer Service Representative, your primary role is to provide support and an effortless experience to policyholders. You will work with customers regarding: • Insurance questions • Policy changes • Billing needs This is an entry-level position in our contact center and provides excellent career pathways into our organization that may include additional skill-building opportunities. LOGISTICS • Work Arrangements: 100% Remote • Start Date: October 13, 2025 • Base Salary: $23 per hour with opportunity for growth • Training: 8 weeks • Training Hours: Monday - Friday 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM EST • Post Training Hours: Monday - Friday 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM EST Responsibilities • Promote digital self-service capabilities • Take ownership to ensure that we go above and beyond to service each caller's needs • Utilize every touch point as an opportunity to build value and The Hartford brand • Assist customers over the phone • Learn insurance products and processes in a training environment • Commit to the training and work schedule • Have a dedicated workspace free from distractions during work and training hours Qualifications • A demonstrated background in customer service, call center, insurance, retail, restaurant, or a related field • Ability to work in a fast-paced complex environment while navigating multiple programs • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail • Excellent communication skills with the ability to empathize with customers and colleagues • Adaptability • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required • Spanish bilingual a plus Requirements • High-speed broadband internet service is required (not DSL, wireless, Wi-Fi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem, and Satellite) • Internet provider supplied modem/router/gateway must be hardwired to the Hartford issued computer with an ethernet cable • Minimum upload/download speeds of 10Mbps/100Mbps will be required Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market.
