Key Responsibilities

Strategic Consulting & Delivery

  • Partner with Global Business Consulting (GBC) Category Practice Line Leads to define engagement scope, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with multinational client leadership, commercial teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and present innovative travel‑program concepts, leveraging market research and emerging technology trends.
  • Synthesize large volumes of travel data into concise, actionable insights and visual presentations for senior executives.
  • Drive project timelines with a sense of urgency, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within budget.
  • Identify and resolve complex challenges through creative problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making.

Operational Excellence & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain rigorous standards of accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all client communications and reports.
  • Monitor traveler behavior patterns, conduct compliance audits, and recommend corrective actions to align with policy directives.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to configure and optimize online booking systems, reporting tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Champion continuous improvement by documenting best practices and sharing lessons learned across the TPM practice line.

Leadership & Thought‑Leadership

  • Act as an internal subject‑matter expert on travel‑related technology, sustainability initiatives, and data analytics.
  • Contribute thought‑leadership content (whitepapers, webinars, case studies) that positions Amex GBT as an industry innovator.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions for client teams, enhancing their ability to manage travel programs independently.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Certified Travel Counselor, PMP) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in global travel management, consulting, or a corporate travel role, with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of online booking platforms (e.g., Concur, SAP Travel Management), reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – pivot tables, macros; PowerPoint; Word; Outlook).
