About the Industry and Our Team

The financial planning systems space is a dynamic and ever-evolving field that requires a unique blend of financial and IT expertise. As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems at blithequark, you will be part of our partner association within the financial planning systems space. This role will require a mixed foundation of finance and IT experience, and you will be responsible for supporting and developing financial systems applications, as well as acting as an internal consultant to various groups to identify automation opportunities and develop/provide suitable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Hyperion planning application, including maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
  • Validating data from Hyperion Financial Management and other sources
  • Investigating and resolving issues with data, including divisional roll-ups and intercompany transactions
  • Maintaining system security and access controls
  • Supporting users with system issues, existing reports, forms, and models
  • Assisting with the preparation of in-depth analysis and business cases on various complex financial issues and competitive industry analyses
  • Coordinating and completing monthly headcount processes related to Hyperion
  • Updating Hyperion Planning with organizational changes; coordinating hierarchical structure changes with Regulators and GL organization
  • Communicating with workgroups to determine reporting business requirements; proposing and presenting efficient solutions
  • Creating Essbase cubes, Planning Applications, Reports, as well as forecasting and planning models for Finance divisions

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/training
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a Finance role, including experience with financial statements, as well as financial modeling and analysis
  • A strong IT foundation, including experience with Oracle and multi-dimensional and relational database structures

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience using Hyperion, as well as development and implementation experience (including Business Intelligence, Essbase, Planning)
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Finance, Accounting, or related fields

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in the use of analytical methodologies related to financial issues
  • The ability to issue solve, module, and analyze data
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
