Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) seeks an experienced Process Improvement Coordinator for the Department of Patient Safety to organize, plan, implement, coordinate, and maintain process improvement programs designed to increased efficiency and decrease waste identified in workflow and system processes. This position will report to the Healthcare Program Administrator for Quality and Performance Improvement and assist in leading a team of professional and support staff tasked with the development and implementation of regulatory and performance improvement activities.



Additional duties include:



Collaborate with administrators, managers, executive sponsors, and other process owners to evaluate existing processes and systems in support of organizational strategic plans and priorities.



Analyze and interpret performance data; preparing and presenting statistical and executive reports and making recommendations; coordinating and planning process improvement group events.



Provide new staff with training as well as staff development and ongoing training opportunities.



Develop educational tools that can be used by managers and staff throughout the hospital.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER



ARMC, which is owned and operated by the County of San Bernardino, is a state-of-the-art 456 bed university-affiliated teaching medical center featuring the newest in technology in the field of patient care. ARMC is host to a 24-hour Emergency Department providing more than 100,000 annual visits, a Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons, a Regional Burn Center, Behavioral Health Services, Outpatient Specialty Clinics and five Primary Care Family Health Centers (FHC). The FHCs offer comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals and families of all age groups. The FHCs are staffed with experienced attending physicians and resident physicians from the Medical Center. ARMC is a Primary Stroke Center and has a Baby Friendly designation from Baby-Friendly USA with over 2800 births per year. The Neonatal Intensive Care is a 30 bed Community California Children's Services certified unit.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT



Vaccination Requirement: Per the December 24, 2021 updated CA State Public Health Officer Order, all workers who provide services or work in facilities described in subdivision (a) of the order, including clinics and doctor offices, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Background: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, drug test, verification of employment history and education.



Minimum Requirements



Education: A Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public or Business Administration, or closely related or relevant field.



AND



Experience: Three (3) years of experience performing regulatory, quality management or performance improvement activities in an acute care hospital.



Desired Qualifications



The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience working in an acute care hospital performing quality management, program planning and evaluation of policy development in a safety department.
