Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor position in the Social Work program.
- Teach 12 credit hours per semester
- Teach a variety of courses across the BSW curriculum suited to experience and expertise.
- Serves as academic advisor and professional mentor for students.
- Engage in research, scholarly, or creative activity
- Actively participate in committee work, as well as curriculum, professional development, and service to external stakeholders.
- Recruit for the social work program in the region.
- Master's in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program is required.
- Doctorate degree is required.
- ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.
- Eligibility for Social Work licensure at a graduate level is required.
- Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education is required.
- Flexibility to teach all courses in BSW curriculum is required.
- Flexibility to utilize different teaching methods: traditional, hybrid, online, etc.
- Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse populations and ability to contribute to the department and the university's commitments to inclusivity, equity, and social justice is required.
- A PhD in Social Work is strongly preferred.
- At least two years post-MSW full-time experience in professional social work practice is preferred.
- Post-MSW practice experience with individuals, children and families, mental health, substance abuse, or other micro systems settings is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability teaching BSW students with a variety of learner focused methodologies, reflecting high impact teaching practice is preferred.
- Utilization of technology that enhances teaching and learning is preferred.

Maximum Salary $52,000
