You will work on our new digital product, Izon ? this business aviation platform is the single source of smart, connected data for pilots, schedulers, and directors of maintenance operations. Our next-generation connected platform aggregates essential business aviation applications into one centralized location, enabling a digital transformation that makes data easier to access and improves information-sharing.
As a Principal Product Owner, it is critical to understand the problems of business aviation customers and create differentiated solutions while working with the brightest engineers building a new suite of solutions. Your ability to articulate a vision, make informed decisions, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders significantly impacts the product?s success and the overall effectiveness of the Scrum team.?
What YOU will do:
You will be a driving force behind Izon which is a key enabler for Collin?s digital transformation in Business Aviation Solutions.
You will lead the planning and execution of discovery and design sessions/workshops focused on ideation, solution design, rapid prototyping, and solution iteration.
You will assess project issues and collaborate with subject matter experts and functional leads to conduct comprehensive impact assessments and to develop change management and communication plans.
You will be working with value stream leaders to set the long-term roadmap for Izon by end of Q4 2023. You will be delivering incremental features for this product and instill confidence with our customers.?
You will work on a globally distributed and diverse team that collaborates and communicates well.
What YOU will learn:
You will develop your leadership skills by leading the Izon Scrum Teams and Integrated Project Team through Agile processes, story management, and backlog grooming.
You will gain exposure to digital, aviation solutions and new technologies in AWS that we use to produce these solutions.?
You will take flight to becoming a subject matter expert and leader with exposure to the variety of aviation solutions in an ever-evolving field. We are growing, so can you!?
Education & Experience:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Skills You Must Have:
Prior experience as a Product Owner or Manager, Business Analyst, or tech lead in an agile environment working with the Atlassian toolset ? Jira and Confluence.
Skills We Value:
Skills in strategic thinking, customer empathy, effective communication, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making to successfully drive product development and meet user needs.
Experience with AWS services like EKS, RDS, S3 and CloudFront.
SCRUM Master or Product Owner Certification.
Professional experience in the avionics industry. Direct experience in an airline operational unit would be a plus.
Flexibility to start work at 8:00 AM EST to connect with teammates in Spain and India.

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate?s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
