Overtime status:

Compliant with position, salary and FLSA regulations

Job purpose:

In keeping a tradition of excellence, the Special Projects Clerk will assist the Construction Administrator and Building Project Administrator with all construction coordination for the Rankin County School District and to keep all records up to date.

Duties and responsibilities:

Annotate addendums to drawings.

Annotate addendums to specifications.

Answer all phone calls for concerning construction, vendor calls, etc? and direct to appropriate offices.

Complete and organize color boards for each project.

Create and manage cost/change order spreadsheets per project.

File all correspondence from architects and engineers to proper projects.

File all field reports to appropriate projects.

File inspection reports to appropriate projects.

Maintain construction directory, regarding job site visits, OAC meetings.

Provide broad range of secretarial/clerical support.

Record keeping of DEQ permits per projects.

Request meeting rooms as needed.

Request new contractor vendor identification as bids are awarded.

Request purchase orders

Request updated COI from vendors as needed.

Review pay applications and invoices for signature.

Scan original documents for electronic file copies.

Maintains and accepts responsibility for any district owned fixed asset item assigned to employee and ensures appropriate use by following district policies for acceptable use

Maintain confidentiality

Regular, dependable/timely and in person attendance is an essential function of this position

Perform such other and not specifically enumerated duties as may be requested by the Board of Education, superintendent, administrator, director or established by district policy

Read, understand, and abide by Employee Conduct Policy, GAB, all other District, State and Federal policies, and procedures and protocols as established by RCSD and the Mississippi Educator Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

Education Level: High school diploma or GED
