The program:

HCC Dual Credit Offices at the college campuses are staffed with College P16 Directors, Dual Credit Success Coaches and dedicated support staff who work in tandem with high school administrators or homeschool parents to facilitate students? access to dual-credit classes and students? success in the program.

Your mission: We?ll rely on you to lead the Dual Credit program through positive collaboration with high school principals at area ISDs. You?ll work with other HCC instructional and STU areas to provide support for dual-credit enrollment, registration, certification and records processes at the college level.

Your work: In this role, you?ll engage in a variety of activities, including:



  • Creating and implementing recruitment plans for faculty and students, as well as the marketing plan for the entire program.

  • Ensuring that procedures are in place to guide the installation of Early College High Schools.

  • Coordinating special events for the community, college educators and high school participants.

Presenting orientation sessions for college faculty, ISD counselors and high school students.



In addition, you?ll direct the budget; oversee the college course schedule for each semester and the offering of off-site dual credit courses; and ensure a smooth registration process for all dual credit students in the service area.

Job Summary



Provides leadership of Dual Credit through positive collaboration with high school principals at area ISDs for a particular service area. Collaborates with other HCC instructional and student services areas to provide support for the enrollment, registration, certification, and records processes at the college level. Assist the District-wide Director of P-16 initiatives in sustaining and monitoring of Early College High Schools.



Essential Functions



Provide leadership and direction for dual credit in the service area.



Ensure the implementation of procedures that guide the installation of Early College High Schools.



Oversee the operational budget.



Oversee the registration process for all dual credit students in the service area.



Coordinate special events involving community, college educators, and high school participants.



Ensure successful implementation of the recruitment plan for dual credit faculty.



Ensure the successful implementation of a marketing plan for dual credit.



Implement a recruitment plan for students.



Implement a plan for student and parental engagement.



Present orientation sessions for college faculty, ISD counselors, and high school students.



Direct building the college course schedule for each semester.



Oversee the offering of dual credit off-site courses.



Attend the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follow a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite.



Complete all required training and professional development sessions.



Support the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College.



May need to travel between various HCC and partner locations.



Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.



Education & Experience



  • Master?s degree from accredited institution in academics or counseling required



  • 5 years of working in a college environment in student services and/or teaching required
