The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for our Media Circulation Program Manager position in the Media Communications & Technology department. This is a full-time staff position.

Job Overview



The Media Circulation Manager will be responsible for maintaining, circulating, and providing tutorial instruction for the following types of media production equipment: audio recording equipment and peripherals such as microphones, speakers and system connections; still photography and video recording equipment such as cameras, monitors, tripods and other camera supports, lighting kits and related accessories; image and sound editing equipment such as laptop computer systems, input and output peripherals, and production software such as Adobe Creative Suite.



This program manager is responsible for expanding and enhancing the technology that Media Communications & Technology (MCT) students have access to for engaging in media production. This position is the office manager of the Media Circulation office.



Essential Functions



  • Oversee the management and maintenance of existing equipment and resources, as well as the deployment of new circulating resources and the removal of resources from circulation.

  • Train, maintain, assess, and improve student staff proficiency on MCT systems management (reservation, check out, inventory) and maintain internal/external systems documenting MCT procedures.

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising the student staff; and creating, implementing, and assessing MCT circulation policies and procedures.

  • Maintenance of the full range of media equipment and be able to serve as a tutor for our students in the use of the equipment.

  • Working collaboratively with the Department Chair, faculty, and other staff to maximize the quality of the experience of MCT students using the department's circulating resources.

  • Using the department's asset tracking software (EZOffice Inventory) perform periodic inventories, compile statistics, and prepare reports.

  • In collaboration with other department faculty and staff, develop and maintain systems for monitoring equipment usage data for program needs.

  • Interact and serve as a liaison for the Department with College and University offices, students, and external partners.

  • Assist the department with scheduling needs and general office requests to ensure that all departmental circulation needs are met in a timely manner.

  • Perform duties based on Department need.

  • Assist in the support of other administrative or academic departments as needed.

Required Education



  • Bachelor's Degree

OR

  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience



Three (3) years of relevant experience



Additional Qualifications Considered



  • Recent supervisory experience, particularly with student employees.

  • Experience with media production, particularly in graphics, audio, and video disciplines.

  • Strong commitment to innovative and responsive services.

  • Experience with operational management.

  • Demonstrated work experience serving a diverse user population.

  • Working knowledge of EZOffice Inventory (asset tracking software).

  • An educational or experiential background in media production.
