The Assistant Coach for Women?s Rowing assists the Head Coach in the planning and operation of the Women's Rowing program at Cornell University. This includes assisting with practice and games, with preparation as assigned; evaluating performances; and making recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in games. The Assistant Coach also has recruiting responsibilities, to identify, encourage and evaluate application and acceptance of student athletes at Cornell in accordance with the Ivy League, NCAA and University policies as assigned by the Head Coach.
This is a full-time 11-month position. Starting 11-month salary range is $49,500 - $50,500. There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree with up to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Credentials should reflect proven success and potential in coaching, recruiting, and developing student-athletes.
- Knowledgeable of NCAA rules.
- Highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic and relentless recruiter
- NYS boating license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Candidate working towards or already have a LEVEL 2 coaching certificate
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds.
- Prior collegiate coaching or competitive playing experience, especially in NCAA Division I
