Position Overview

Are you a dedicated Intake/Admissions Specialist with a passion for improving behavioral health outcomes? We invite you to consider joining our team at our new hospital. As an Intake/Admissions Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating admissions by building relationships with referral sources, providers, and nursing staff.

Job Details

Setting: 64-bed acute inpatient facility

Programs: IOP/PHP oversight

Patient Population: Adults and Geriatric clients

Focus: Behavioral Health and Addiction Treatment

Approach: Acute intervention with short-term stays

Responsibilities

Manage incoming calls from referral sources, providing initial screening and information.

Complete admission paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring all necessary information is documented for provider review.

Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system for data entry and information management throughout the intake process.

Coordinate effectively with providers and nursing staff to streamline admissions processes and ensure patient care needs are met promptly.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
