Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the temporary Data Entry and Administrative Assistant will be vital to Raising a Reader?s mission by ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data entry and order processing. This remote role involves working closely with our national team and customers, demanding strong attention to detail, adherence to timelines, clear communication, and consistency. Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, updating contact information, processing orders, and maintaining accurate records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Data Entry and Order Processing: ? Work in Salesforce to ensure accurate information from purchasers and contacts, and track communications. ? Create, enter, and update orders, critical to our organization?s operations, ensuring information is entered accurately and in a timely manner. ? Coordinate with the program and warehouse teams to process orders for materials and books, ensuring timely delivery to customers. ? Provide weekly order entry status updates and reports to the team. ? Administrative and Customer Support: ? Serve as a point of contact for the main office inbox, directing queries to the appropriate parties. ? Answer and respond to emails and other communications professionally and efficiently. ? Purchase warehouse, office and other supplies for team members as requested. ? Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and issues promptly and professionally. ? System Coordination: ? Utilize multiple technological systems that require manual coordination and updates to ensure data consistency and accuracy. ? Ensure systems are updated and consistent across various platforms that do not sync automatically. ? Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: ? Possess a commitment to the mission and values of Raising a Reader ? Prior administrative and operations experience, specifically supporting with significant data entry ? Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines ? Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, etc.) and Google Workspace applications ? Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct), with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology and software ? Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Core Commerce) is ideal ? Strong problem solver with the ability to make sound decisions ? Hold a positive, can-do attitude with a solutions-oriented, collaborative mindset and a propensity for action ? Strong attention to detail and the ability to operate with initiative to effectively establish priorities and work accurately under time constraints ? Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills ? Demonstrated ability to execute results reliably, efficiently, and thoroughly Compensation, Hours, and Location Pay: This is a temporary, non-exempt, hourly role eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable state or city laws. The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending upon related experience and geographic market. Benefits: Due to the temporary, part-time nature of this role, RAR does not offer group health benefits. Other benefits may be provided as required by law. Hours: This part-time role will work up to 24 hours per week during normal work hours. The expected schedule for this position will be Wednesday through Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm local time. We expect this temporary role to last approximately 3-6 months and end no later than December 20, 2024.
