As a Healthcare Call Center Representative, you'll be the voice of our organization, assisting patients and healthcare providers with their needs. This remote position is perfect for customer service professionals with a background in healthcare who excel in a high-volume call center setting. Please note, candidates must be local to Hillsboro, OR, as equipment pickup and setup will be required on the first day.
Key Responsibilities
? Handle Inbound & Outbound Calls: Manage high call volumes, assisting with appointment scheduling, account status inquiries, and patient outreach.
? Electronic Communication: Route incoming calls from patients, physicians, and other departments following established guidelines.
? Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to set scripts and protocols.
? General Services: Provide facility directions, handle departmental mail, and offer information on additional services such as Membership Services and Pharmacy.
? Insurance & Demographics: Verify insurance eligibility, update demographic information, and manage provider selections and special needs.
? Referrals & Specialty Care: Coordinate referrals, track specialty care processes, and ensure efficient patient care.
? Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and generate reports as needed using various computer programs.
? Exceptional Service: Utilize critical thinking and communication skills to resolve issues and deliver outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
? Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
? Skills: Proficient in multitasking and using multiple computer screens simultaneously. Experience with HealthConnect is a plus.
? Communication: Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
? Reliability: Excellent attendance, especially during the first 90 days, is essential.
Work Schedule
? Primary Care Team: Shifts between 5 am - 8 pm, Sunday to Saturday (availability for weekends required).
? Specialty Care Dermatology Team: Shifts between 7:45 am - 5:15 pm, Monday to Friday (no weekend work).
