This position is with the Workers' Compensation Division (WCD). WCD administers, regulates, and enforces the laws and administrative rules governing the Oregon workers' compensation system. However, regular, scheduled office hours are also required. Here?s what you will do: As the Claim Records Manager, you will provide direction and advice on the administrative, operational, and procedural components of the statewide workers' compensation injured-worker claim reporting system. You will manage the daily activities of the 16 member Claim Records Team and perform as the data steward of the division?s electronic claim system. Here?s what you need to qualify: Minimum Qualifications: Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience OR One year of related experience and a bachelor?s degree in a related field Requested Skills: Familiar with automated information systems containing confidential and sensitive personal records of customers or claimants Possess, or be able to develop quickly, an understanding of insurers' claim and coverage processing and reporting practices Familiarity with conversion, migration, or development of electronic information systems containing confidential or sensitive customer or claimant records Demonstrated ability to lead others through changes in business processes and/or modernization of systems Knowledge or experience working in the workers? compensation, or similar, industry Experience in supervising in a work unit represented by a collective bargaining agreement Familiar with small group and team work unit dynamics, and be able to facilitate working groups with members with diverse opinions Application information: A resume and cover letter are required for this job posting.
